Why do I need to schedule an appointment?
Our president, A.J. Rosenberg, not only does all of the buying for AGPM, but he also is a jeweler, watchmaker, and appraiser with over fifteen years of experience.  Therefore, we always suggest making an appointment before stopping by in order to guarantee that you will be our first priority.

Types of appointments

Selling jewelry/gold/silver:

• These appointments are intended for customers who want to sell their jewelry/silver. We are not interested in purchasing bullion, but we will take a look at anything else that you may have (jewelry, watches, flatware, etc.)
• Smaller collections (1-6 pieces) require about 10 minutes to evaluate.
• Larger collections may require more time, typically about 30 minutes.
• Very large collections (estate lots) may need as much as 24 hours to be thoroughly evaluated for offer.

Custom Design:

• This appointment is intended for customers who wish to design a unique piece of jewelry from a drawing, photo, or simply an idea. The design process may not be completed in one visit, in which case it may be best to meet with us several times at our store or communicate via phone/e-mail (whatever is convenient for you).
• When you come for an appointment to discuss a custom design, it helps to have an idea of what you want to create. Bring a picture or write down notes about the type of metal and stones. Anything you bring will help us know exactly what you are expecting.
• A custom design appointment can vary from 5-45 minutes.

Appraisal for insurance/valuation purposes:

• We are currently not a certified appraiser. However, we do offer 30 years of experience in appraising for insurance purpose, and we have never had any objections to our judgments.
• All jewelry that is purchased at AGPM comes with a free appraisal upon request. Otherwise, see the "Services" page for pricing.
• The actual appraisal of the pieces can be done while you wait (about 10-30 minutes), but a day or two may be needed to type the appraisal forms, which can be picked up or mailed to you.
